Breakfast In Bed | Made in House or Ordered in From Your Favourite Local Breakfast Spot
I usually don't have much time to indulge in a full breakfast. Over the break, I plan on pulling a few delicious recipes from my favourite cookbooks and perhaps order in from a few local spots. Here the first breakfast dish on my list!

Winter Green thumb | start an indoor garden
I'm always sending someone out on a basil run in the middle of cooking sauce, so I've decided to start an indoor garden! I also love the idea of having a bit of summer, at least in our kitchen. We don't get much sunlight in our space, so we purchased a Click and Grow, which is perfectly sized for our countertop.

Tap into your inner artist | Join a virtual paint night, candle making or knitting class
This was on my DIY lover's gift guide, and I can't wait to try it out myself. I love burning a wood wick candle, and I'm super excited to make my own.

Get Crafty | Upcycle and revamp a few household items
I recently got my hands on an incredible wood credenza, but I haven't had the chance to revamp it. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I cant wait to dive in. If you're interested in a smaller project and have a few glasses vases around, then check out this super fun DIY! This will give new life to that dusty centrepiece you haven't had the heart to give away.

A Tour Of the Town | Discover the places you've never seen right at home
Strap on your winter boots and take a walk through your neighbourhood. There are so many hidden gems that can be discovered (and that are social distancing friendly). It's been a heck of a year, and this is a great time to slow down and take it all in. We recently visited a park in Niagara that is notorious for its super-friendly birds. You can hold your hand to the sky, and a bird will land in your palm.
Mock and Cocktail Party | Get your jiggers ready
Get your playlists ready, put on your fancy pants, and let's get to shaking...or stirring, whichever you prefer. Although this year's festivities may not look a little different, some things can remain the same. Keep an eye on our stories *hint, hint* we may have a few delicious recipes coming your way!

Host A Virtual Game Night | Take a shot every time someone's wifi cuts out
There's nothing like a good game of Cards Against Humanity to get the party started, and luckily it's super easy to play online! Check out this awesome list of games that can also be played virtually!

Dinner Date | Nostalgia topped with strawberries and whip cream
You know that special dish from your favourite restaurant or your last getaway? I do. Well, why not try and make it yourself?

A Movie Night | With Fancy Popcorn
The star of the show here is the popcorn. I now realize that this list is very food driven. But let's be real, what's the best part of any getaway??
Here's an entire Pinterest board dedicated to mouth-watering popcorn recipes.

A Night Under The Stars | Cozied Up Under Your Favourite Blanket
And finally, the activity I'm looking forward to the most, a night under the stars. I'm not much of a camper, but this I can handle. Push your coffee table to the side, hang a few Christmas lights and pitch a tent filled with pillows and cozy blankets. If your feeling fancy, you can also turn your tv to the Fire Place channel and play a wilderness playlist.
